Mexico's Pacifica Silver Expands Drilling Program to 30,000 Meters

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 20, Pacifica Silver expanded the Phase 2 drilling program at the Claudia silver-gold project in Mexico to 30,000 meters, with plans to mobilize a fourth diamond drill rig by the end of August. The company stated that Mexico's Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources has permitted 491 new drill pad locations, which can be used for drilling operations at existing and newly prioritized target zones.

Phase 2 drilling began in mid-January this year with an initial plan of 12,000 meters, which was expanded to 20,000 meters in March. Following the permitting of new drill pad locations, the company added another 10,000 meters of drilling work and extended the project timeline to the end of 2026. As of August 19, Pacifica Silver had completed 79 drill holes, totaling 18,258 meters of advancement.

The newly added locations primarily cover the northern extensions of the Aguilareña and Guadalupana veins, as well as the HL and Santiaguera vein targets in the eastern part of the project. Once the fourth drill rig arrives, it will focus on drilling the northern extension of Aguilareña; the other rigs will continue to carry out infill drilling of known mineralized zones and verification of peripheral extensions.

The Claudia project is located in the El Papantón mining district in Durango State and is wholly owned by Pacifica Silver. The mineral concession area covers approximately 11,876 hectares, comprising 36 contiguous valid mining concessions and one application. The cumulative length of veins identified within the project exceeds 30 kilometers, of which approximately 10% has been verified by drilling.

This round of drilling will continue to collect data on vein strike, thickness, grade, and continuity. Pacifica Silver plans to prepare the first mineral resource estimate for the Claudia project in 2027, incorporating the 2026 drilling and assay results.
