CCCC Chairman Song Hailiang Holds Talks with Rio Tinto Chairman Simon Thompson; Bai Yinzhan Attends

Song Hailiang welcomed Simon Thompson and his delegation, expressed gratitude for Rio Tinto's long-standing trust and support for CCCC, and introduced CCCC's development and core strengths. He stated that since the two companies began cooperation in 2012, they have jointly delivered a series of landmark major projects, including the Simandou iron ore mine in Guinea and the Richards Bay titanium mine in South Africa. Rio Tinto is a globally leading mining company, and the two sides enjoy complementary advantages, fruitful cooperation outcomes, and enormous potential. CCCC will fully leverage its integrated, comprehensive, and synergistic system advantages in the "Five Full, Four Major, and Five Type" domains, adhere to the "Five Haves" principle—"Rio Tinto has needs, CCCC has strengths, both sides have consensus, both sides are committed, and cooperation brings win-win results"—and strengthen global market coordination with Rio Tinto. On the basis of high-quality advancement of existing cooperation projects, the two sides will further deepen practical cooperation in areas such as mining infrastructure construction, mining development, green energy, and intelligent construction, jointly creating more exemplary international cooperation projects and elevating bilateral cooperation to new heights.

Simon Thompson thanked CCCC for its long-standing support for Rio Tinto's global business development and spoke positively of CCCC's achievements in global infrastructure construction and the implementation of large-scale complex projects. He stated that Rio Tinto attaches great importance to the Chinese market and long-term cooperation with Chinese enterprises. Rio Tinto and CCCC have established a solid foundation for cooperation, and he hopes that both sides will further strengthen communication and exchanges, fully leverage their respective strengths, and actively explore cooperation opportunities in more regions and sectors on the basis of existing cooperation, jointly achieving more practical outcomes in bilateral cooperation.
