en.Wedoany.com Reported - A new gas condensate field with estimated natural gas reserves of 50.2 billion cubic meters has been discovered in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (YNAO), Russia. Russian Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology Alexander Kozlov told TASS that the field is named after N. I. Grigoriev, an emergency response specialist for oil and gas fields in Western Siberia, and its reserve scale has been classified as significant.

The day before, Oleg Kazanov, head of the Federal Agency for Mineral Resources (Rosnedra), told the news agency that several additional hydrocarbon (HC) deposits had been added to the national reserve balance sheet in the first half of this year. Among them, the Pugachevskoye oil, gas, and condensate field in Orenburg Oblast has moderate natural gas reserves of 5.4 billion cubic meters. The remaining are small oil deposits distributed across three federal districts: the Volga region, the Southern Federal District, and the North Caucasus.

Gazprom Neft has also made significant hydrocarbon discoveries this year. In February, the company reported the discovery of a large oil field in the Arctic region of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The block, named after A. Kontorovich, has estimated recoverable reserves of 55 million tons, making it the most significant discovery in the area in nearly three decades.

In addition to hydrocarbons, geologists also discovered 136 solid mineral deposits between January and June, the vast majority of which are small placer gold deposits. Rosnedra reminded that, as is customary, major discoveries with confirmed reserves are concentrated in the second half of the year.
