en.Wedoany.com Reported - On the morning of August 27, Cheng Guowei, Chairman of China Aviation Supplies Holding Company (CASC), met with Christian Scherer, CEO of Airbus Commercial Aircraft, and his delegation at the Group headquarters, and jointly witnessed the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between CASC and Airbus on sourcing aircraft for full-lifecycle services of second-hand aircraft.

Cheng Guowei welcomed Scherer and his delegation's visit to CASC and expressed gratitude for Airbus's long-standing trust and support. He noted that since the delivery of the first Airbus A310 aircraft to China's civil aviation in the 1980s, Airbus and China's civil aviation have walked hand in hand for over four decades, engaging in deep cooperation in aircraft introduction, aviation materials support, industrial cooperation, and talent training, making positive contributions to the development of China's civil aviation. He stated that China's civil aviation market is currently expanding steadily with enormous growth potential, and expressed hope that both sides will, on the basis of consolidating aircraft procurement cooperation, further strengthen practical cooperation in areas such as supply chain support, improve the full-lifecycle aircraft service system, enhance mutual trust and consensus, continuously expand cooperation fields and deepen cooperation content, thereby helping China's civil aviation achieve cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and green and low-carbon transformation, and jointly promoting the high-quality development of China's civil aviation.

Scherer expressed sincere gratitude for CASC's long-standing trust and support. He stated that China is one of the most important civil aviation markets in the world and has always been a key direction in Airbus's strategic layout. Currently, Airbus is continuously advancing production acceleration, with steadily improving delivery capabilities for models such as the A320, A330, and A350, and accelerated development of a new-generation single-aisle aircraft, committed to making positive contributions to the global aviation market. Airbus is willing to further strengthen communication and coordination with CASC, and deepen cooperation in areas such as supply chain support, customer services, and digitalization, to jointly ensure the safe and efficient operation of China's civil aviation fleet and contribute greater strength to the high-quality development of China's civil aviation.
