China-Kazakhstan Grain Trading Platform Officially Launched

At the meeting, the China-Kazakhstan Grain Trading Platform, jointly built by the Grain Trading Coordination Center of the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration and Kazakhstan's National Grain Trade Corporation, was officially launched, marking a new digital stage in grain trade cooperation between the two countries.

Liu Huanxin, Director of the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, stated in his address that the construction of the China-Kazakhstan Grain Trading Platform is conducive to enhancing commercial mutual trust, standard interoperability, and rule alignment in grain trade between the two countries, as well as further reducing transaction costs, improving trading efficiency, and smoothing trade cooperation. It is of great significance for promoting the coordinated development of the regional grain industry chain and safeguarding regional grain security. He expressed hope that enterprises from both sides will use the China-Kazakhstan Grain Trading Platform as a bond to further strengthen supply-demand connectivity, deepen economic and trade exchanges, achieve complementary advantages and mutual benefit, and work together to deliver more tangible results in practical cooperation.

Nazgul Khazhepova, Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, stated in her address that China is one of the most important strategic partners of Kazakhstan in the grain sector. She expressed hope for deepening cooperation with China in the grain field and making new progress in trade, investment, logistics, processing, and the application of digital technologies. The launch of the China-Kazakhstan Grain Trading Platform will effectively enhance the digitalization level of grain trade, help improve mutual trust between enterprises of both sides, ensure the smooth development of trade, and align with international development trends.

In May this year, China's National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration and Kazakhstan's Ministry of Agriculture signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the grain sector, establishing a long-term cooperation mechanism. Since then, with the joint efforts of both sides, substantial progress has been made in the construction of the China-Kazakhstan Grain Trading Platform, and the pilot online trading has been successfully implemented, creating favorable conditions for the platform's official launch.

The newly launched China-Kazakhstan Grain Trading Platform, built on the foundation of China's National Grain Trading Platform, boasts strong social credibility, high resource aggregation, and comprehensive services, providing enterprises from both countries with a standardized, efficient, and convenient new channel for online grain trade.
