On the morning of September 8, Sun Meijun, Administrator of the General Administration of Customs of China, and John Steenhuisen, Minister of Agriculture of South Africa, co-chaired the 9th China-South Africa Ministerial Meeting on Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Measures at the GACC. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges of views on implementing the important consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries, strengthening customs inspection and quarantine cooperation, promoting the sound development of agricultural product and food trade between China and South Africa, and building a smart customs partnership, reaching a series of consensuses and signing cooperation documents.
