The two sides exchanged views on topics including the current international energy situation and energy cooperation between the two sides.

Wang Hongzhi stated that, in the face of a complex and ever-changing international landscape, the International Energy Agency has, through a series of measures, played an important role in safeguarding the stability of the global energy market. He expressed gratitude to the International Energy Agency for its long-standing attention to and support for China's energy sector and energy transition development, and looked forward to continuing to deepen practical cooperation with the International Energy Agency.

Fatih Birol highly praised China's development achievements in the energy field in recent years, especially in the energy transition. He stated that China has powerfully driven the global energy transition through technological breakthroughs and cost reductions, and looked forward to working with the Chinese side to jointly promote the sustainable development of global energy.

The two sides signed the Three-Year Cooperation Plan between the National Energy Administration of the People's Republic of China and the International Energy Agency.

The principal officials of the Planning Department and the International Department of China's National Energy Administration attended the meeting.
