UK-based Pipetech Opens 950 m² Oil and Gas Service Base in Norway with Over £500,000 Investment
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 17, Pipetech, a flow assurance and pipeline cleaning services company under UK-based Denholm Environmental, announced the expansion of its Norwegian operations and its official move into a new service base in Sandnes. The new facility covers approximately 950 square meters and includes six offices, a maintenance workshop, and yard space, enabling the company to receive customer equipment directly on site and carry out cleaning services for pipelines and process systems locally.

Pipetech has also invested more than £500,000 to upgrade the new facility, service vehicles, and additional equipment in order to expand its local service capabilities for oil and gas customers on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and in the North Sea. The new equipment includes a high-pressure pump compliant with the NORSOK Z-015 standard, which is scheduled for delivery to the Norwegian offshore market. The unit can achieve a flow rate of up to 182 liters per minute and a maximum working pressure of 1,020 bar, and can power the Aqua Milling pipeline cleaning system and the DSR downhole scale removal tool.
The new base will focus on providing Aqua Milling high-pressure hydraulic cleaning, high-pressure water jetting, and related flow restoration services for pipelines and process equipment, primarily addressing deposits such as wax and hard scale that affect the operation of oil and gas production systems. Compared with the previous approach of mainly providing services at project sites, the new facility makes it possible to bring customer assets into the base for cleaning, maintenance, and technical processing.
Pipetech was first established in Stavanger, Norway, 26 years ago, and this expansion is part of the company's renewed effort to strengthen its local business presence in Norway. In recent years, the company has continued to advance technologies such as Aqua Milling and Downhole Scale Remediation in the North Sea market, and plans to rely on the Sandnes base to expand support for maintenance projects involving offshore production facilities, pipelines, and process systems.
In addition to facility investment, Pipetech has also created a new position of Norwegian Sales Manager, with Henning Petersen responsible for local customer development and project support. With more than 10 years of experience in the Norwegian oil and gas supply chain, he will also assist parent company Denholm Environmental in expanding its presence in the Norwegian market.
