en.Wedoany.com Reported - Brazil's Forship Engenharia (Forship Engineering, a group holding company) currently handles integrated operations and maintenance (O&M) for 38 decommissioning platforms—26 in the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin and 12 in the Ceará Basin—the largest platform cluster ever delivered to a non-operating company for O&M of such assets. This year, the company began providing related services for 10 producing offshore units in the Santos and Campos Basins.

Over the past decade, Forship's offshore operations have continued to expand, and it signed its first O&M contracts with Petrobras (Petróleo Brasileiro S.A.). In 2023, the company began providing cargo handling as well as crane and equipment maintenance services for 26 units in the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin; this year it also took on integrated maintenance and decommissioning asset management for 12 offshore units in the Ceará Basin, under the responsibility of UO-RNCE (Rio Grande do Norte-Ceará). The related services cover four basins: Sergipe-Alagoas, Ceará, Santos, and Campos.

Fabio Fares, President and CEO of the Forship Group, stated that the company's business has evolved into integrated operations encompassing offshore logistics, aviation operational safety, integrated maintenance, and support for assets at different stages of their lifecycle. Currently, Forship is also responsible for the operations of 10 producing offshore units in the Santos and Campos Basins, as well as first-level maintenance and industrial cleaning of cranes, cargo handling equipment, and accessories. These units include the replicated FPSOs P-66, P-67, P-69, P-68, and P-70, all located in the pre-salt layer of the Santos Basin; the P-52, P-54, P-55, and P-62 in the Campos Basin; and the Maintenance and Safety Unit (UMS) at the Roncador field.

In addition to offshore operations, Forship is also involved in several commissioning and O&M projects in onshore industry. Since July 2020, the company has been responsible for the operation, maintenance, and engineering services of the utilities of the natural gas processing unit (UPGN) at the Complexo de Energias Boaventura (Boaventura Energy Complex) in Itaboraí (Rio de Janeiro State), which has a maximum natural gas processing capacity of 21 million cubic meters per day. Contracted operations require uninterrupted maintenance and operation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, ensuring continuous operation of the utilities supporting the country's largest UPGN. This UPGN is connected to the Rota 3 gas pipeline, ensuring the outflow of pre-salt natural gas. Fares emphasized that the offshore and onshore operations demonstrate Forship's ability to simultaneously serve highly critical assets across different operational fronts while maintaining high reliability standards.

Forship has long-standing accumulated experience in commissioning engineering in the oil and gas industry, having participated in dozens of landmark unit projects, such as FPSO P-50, and has developed internationally recognized expertise over decades. Fares stated that this capability relies on proprietary technologies developed in-house, such as HMSWeb©—a quality, mechanical completion, and commissioning management platform for highly complex projects and multiple industrial sectors. The success of this tool led to the establishment of HMSWeb Tecnologia da Informação (HMSWeb Information Technology). This independent company is dedicated to providing this platform to the global oil and gas market, the shipbuilding industry, as well as mining, energy, infrastructure, agro-industry, and pulp and paper sectors.

Founded in 1998, Forship is a Brazilian company that is a pioneer in the field of commissioning engineering, with operations covering the entire lifecycle of industrial assets. Its service portfolio includes commissioning, operations and maintenance, revamping and IMR, technical consulting, and BRC (Brazilian Regulatory Compliance). To date, Forship has completed more than 300 projects for over 150 clients in 20 countries across five continents, covering onshore and offshore oil and gas, energy, mining, petrochemicals, the shipbuilding industry, infrastructure, agro-industry, and pulp and paper sectors. The company has also developed the HMSWeb® quality, mechanical completion, and commissioning management platform, which is currently licensed to the market by HMSWeb Tecnologia da Informação. The Forship Group stated that it will continue to expand its contribution to the development of the oil and gas industry and consolidate its position in Brazil's O&M, engineering, and strategic asset management market.
