The 52 mining environmental documents approved this year include 1 Detailed Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA-d), 5 Modified Detailed Environmental Impact Assessments (MEIA-d), and 46 Technical Support Reports (ITS). Among them, the EIA-d corresponds to the Trapiche project in the Apurímac region, while the MEIA-d relate to mining assets including Huarón in the Pasco region, Cerro Verde in the Arequipa region, the Antapaccay–Tintaya–Coroccohuayco integrated project in the Cusco region, and Acumulación Condestable in the Lima region.

The 46 ITS mainly correspond to partial modifications, expansions, and technical adjustments of existing mines or development projects. Approved projects include the second ITS for Antamina in the Áncash region, the second ITS for Zafranal in the Arequipa region, the first ITS for Colquijirca in the Pasco region, the first ITS for Romina in the Lima region, the first ITS for Cajamarquilla, and the second ITS for Las Bambas in the Apurímac region.

Environmental assessment of mining projects at Senace is handled by the Mining Specialized Unit under the Directorate of Environmental Assessment for Natural Resources and Productive Projects. The agency conducts technical assessments of submitted environmental management documents and reviews the environmental prevention, mitigation, and management measures proposed by projects. Senace's public data platform also lists approved, under-evaluation, and unapproved environmental study documents.

As of the end of September, 21 mining environmental documents remained in Senace's evaluation process, corresponding to approximately US$9.126 billion in investment. These documents and the 52 already approved documents are at different stages of environmental approval, and decisions will be made separately based on the evaluation results of each project's environmental documents.
