en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 5, U.S. agricultural machinery manufacturer AGCO held Tech Day 2026 in Illinois, showcasing agricultural technologies including autonomous operation, AI visual recognition, and mixed-fleet connectivity. The showcase covered the OutRun autonomous operation platform, Fendt tractor automation solutions, the SymphonyVision precision weeding system, the Aurora agricultural AI assistant, and a cross-brand equipment connectivity platform, with applications spanning tillage, spraying, weeding, equipment management, and farm operations.

OutRun is an autonomous operation platform that AGCO is prioritizing, capable of retrofitting some existing tractors and agricultural machinery into autonomous operation equipment for repetitive field tasks. The system operates through coordinated vehicle control, positioning, path planning, and remote monitoring, with the goal of enabling a single operator to manage multiple machines simultaneously. AGCO has previously advanced the commercialization of related technologies in some North American markets and continues to expand compatible models and operation scenarios.

The Fendt platform showcased a higher level of autonomous operation capability, including automatic path execution, field boundary management, and remote task control. The related systems connect with AGCO's existing Precision Planting and PTx technology systems, allowing tractors, planters, and spraying equipment to share operation data and position data to reduce redundant operations and empty equipment travel.

SymphonyVision targets precision weeding and spraying scenarios, using cameras and AI visual models to identify crops and weeds, then controlling nozzle opening and closing based on target positions. The system can reduce chemical usage compared to full-width spraying modes and integrates identification, decision-making, and spraying actions into a single operation system. AGCO has incorporated this technology into its precision agriculture product line and continues to advance its commercial application.

AGCO also showcased the Aurora agricultural AI assistant, designed to integrate operation data, equipment status, and farm management information, and to help users query tasks, equipment, and production data through natural language interaction. Another mixed-fleet connectivity platform targets farms with equipment from different brands, attempting to unify access to vehicle and operation data and reduce data silos between different brand equipment.

In recent years, AGCO has continued to integrate the digital agriculture capabilities of Precision Planting, PTx Trimble, and its brands including Fendt and Massey Ferguson into a unified technology system. The focus of this Tech Day showcase was not a single new agricultural machinery product, but rather the combination of vehicle autonomous driving, visual recognition, precision spraying, and farm data management into a cross-equipment agricultural technology platform.
