New Drill Hole Launched at Murdock Mountain Phosphate Project in the United States to Test 315-Meter Extension
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 8, Canadian mining company Nevada Organic Phosphate announced the latest progress on its Murdock Mountain phosphate project in Nevada, United States, with drilling of hole MM26-11 now underway at Drill Pad 13. The new hole extends 315 meters outward along the mineralized trend from the previous hole MM26-10, primarily to test the continuity of the upper phosphate-bearing mineralized zone. Operations were briefly interrupted due to repairs on a water supply truck, and the relevant spare parts have arrived on site. The company plans to resume drilling this week.

Hole MM26-11 is located at Drill Pad 13 of the project. The collar position announced by the company is UTM NAD83 coordinates 722732E, 4567216N, obtained via handheld GPS. The previous hole MM26-10 had a collar coordinate of 722867.805E, 4567500.233N, determined by surveying. Both holes are intended to evaluate the upper phosphate-bearing mineralized zone of the Meade Peak Member of the Phosphoria Formation, and the new hole will further acquire data on seam continuity, actual thickness, and grade variations.
In earlier drilling, hole MM26-10 returned phosphate mineralization test results in August 2026, with a weighted average grade of 10.89% phosphorus pentoxide over a true thickness of 3.60 meters. This hole was an exploration hole stepping out 1.5 kilometers along the mineralized trend, and the test results expanded the strike length of mineralization confirmed by drilling to more than 3 kilometers. The new hole will continue testing beyond the area where mineralization evidence has already been obtained. Relevant core logging, sampling, and laboratory analysis results will be announced once available.
Drilling is being carried out with the involvement of drilling contractor Falcon Drilling. The company previously announced on September 21 that the contractor had returned to the project site to continue completing the 2026 drilling program. During the current operations, the transfer case of the supporting six-wheel-drive water supply truck required replacement, with replacement parts shipped to the site from Illinois, United States. The company confirmed on October 8 that the spare parts are in place, and subsequent drilling arrangements will depend on equipment recovery.
The Murdock Mountain project is located in Elko County, northeastern Nevada, United States. The company's existing geological data covers approximately 6.6 kilometers of sedimentary phosphate beds, and it has submitted mineral claims covering a farther potential extension area. This extent and the mineralized length already confirmed by drilling represent different exploration scopes. No seam intersection depth, laboratory assay grade, or new resource estimate has yet been announced for MM26-11.
Garry K. Smith, a director of the company and a qualified person under Canadian NI 43-101 standards, is responsible for the review and approval of the technical content of this announcement. Subsequent technical evaluation will be conducted in conjunction with drill hole geological logging, sample analysis, and seam thickness data, serving as the technical basis for the project's next-stage exploration and development decisions.
