239 million tonnes of copper resources approved for filing at Chating Copper Mine in Anhui of China Western Mining

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 9, China Western Mining Co., Ltd. issued an announcement that the copper polymetallic mineral resource reserves of the Shangchangcun ore block in the Chating mining area, Xuanzhou District, Anhui Province, managed by Anhui Western Mining Yulong Chating Mining Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of its controlled subsidiary Tibet Yulong Copper Industry, recently passed the review and filing by the Anhui Provincial Department of Natural Resources. This filing confirms copper metal resources of 2,392,750 tonnes, associated gold of 313.17 tonnes, and associated silver of 1,429.544 tonnes. The mine will subsequently continue to handle the procedures for converting the exploration right to a mining right.

According to the reply letter Wan Kuang Chu Bei Zi [2026] No. 18 issued by the Anhui Provincial Department of Natural Resources, what passed the filing this time is the "Exploration Report on the Copper Polymetallic Deposit of the Shangchangcun Ore Block in the Chating Mining Area, Xuanzhou District, Anhui Province." The resource estimation base date is June 30, 2026, and the scope is limited to the relevant ore bodies within the existing exploration right at elevations from -44 meters to -1,700 meters.

Copper is the main mineral type of this ore block, including measured resources of 295,190 tonnes, indicated resources of 1,799,212 tonnes, and inferred resources of 298,348 tonnes. The corresponding ore volume totals 820.47 million tonnes, with an average copper grade of 0.29%. Among the three resource categories, indicated resources account for the highest proportion.

Associated gold resources are divided into measured 44.93 tonnes, indicated 235.329 tonnes, and inferred 32.911 tonnes, corresponding to an ore volume of 813.09 million tonnes, with an average gold grade of 0.39 g/t. Associated silver resources include indicated 140.035 tonnes and inferred 1,289.509 tonnes, with an average silver grade of 2.15 g/t. No measured category silver metal amount is listed.

According to the 2026 semi-annual report of Western Mining, the Chating copper polymetallic mine fully completed surface drilling construction in May this year, and subsequently advanced sample assay testing, beneficiation process tests, industrial utilization index demonstration, and reserve verification report preparation. After the completion of this resource reserve filing, Chating Mining will continue to handle the exploration-to-mining conversion procedures in accordance with relevant regulations on mineral resource development.

Western Mining also noted that after the mine enters actual production and carries out production exploration, the resource amount may change, and the average grades listed in the announcement are not equivalent to actual mining grades.
