en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 16, U.S. aircraft leasing company Aviation Capital Group (ACG) announced that it has finalized an order with Airbus for 75 A320neo family aircraft, scheduled for delivery between 2032 and 2035. This is the largest single aircraft order in ACG's history since its founding in 1989. The new agreement allows ACG to convert order configurations among different models within the A320neo family, and upon completion of the transaction, the company's undelivered orders for this family increase to 115 aircraft.

This purchase covers A320neo family single-aisle narrowbody aircraft, with the order including conversion rights among models within the family, enabling ACG to adjust delivery configurations based on future airline customers' fleet requirements. Based on the new order, ACG held 40 undelivered orders for this family prior to signing the agreement, and this purchase further extends its Airbus narrowbody delivery schedule. ACG CEO Thomas Baker confirmed that this transaction is the largest purchase order in the company's nearly 40-year operating history.

As of June 30, 2026, ACG's fleet already included 118 A320neo family aircraft. During the same period, the company's total owned, managed, and committed aircraft stood at 504, with 13 aircraft added in the second quarter, including 6 Airbus A320 family aircraft, 5 Boeing 737 family aircraft, 1 Airbus A350-900, and 1 Airbus A330-900; in the same quarter, 8 aircraft were sold, generating net gains of $13 million.

ACG previously finalized an order for 50 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft in January 2026, comprising 25 737-8s and 25 737-10s, scheduled for delivery between 2032 and 2033 after 2023. The company also signed a definitive agreement in February to purchase a portfolio of 24 aircraft assets, involving 18 narrowbody aircraft and 6 widebody aircraft. This new Airbus order and the aforementioned procurement arrangements constitute separate aircraft acquisition transactions.

Regarding aircraft procurement funding arrangements, ACG signed a $1.48 billion unsecured term loan agreement in July 2026, with the loan provided by 33 financial institutions from multiple countries, maturing in 2031. As of the end of June, the company had total assets of $14.6 billion and available liquidity of $6.6 billion; in the first half of 2026, aircraft acquisition investments totaled $1.2 billion, and operating cash flow was $341 million.
