en.Wedoany.com Reported - India's Mahindra & Mahindra has announced the official launch of commercial production and supply of the MAXSEEDER multi-crop precision no-till seeder at its agricultural machinery plant in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. The equipment uses technology licensed from Canada's Clean Seed Technologies and supports seeding of crops including rice, wheat, soybean, corn and cotton, and can be pulled by tractors of 35 hp and above. The first batch of products will enter the Punjab and Haryana markets through Mahindra's agricultural equipment dealer network, with supply to be expanded in phases thereafter.

The MAXSEEDER features five independent seeding units and supports adjustment of row spacing, seed metering configuration and material delivery methods, allowing seeding parameters to be configured for different crops and planting conditions. The equipment can seed directly in fields retaining rice straw, reducing soil tillage operations before seeding.

The equipment is equipped with an electronic control unit that can separately meter and apply seeds, diammonium phosphate (DAP) and urea according to field operation requirements. Operators can control the relevant parameters via a mobile phone application. The multifunctional fertilizing opener can place urea approximately 1.5 inches, or about 3.8 centimeters, below the seed layer.

Mahindra and Clean Seed Technologies previously entered into a technology licensing and manufacturing cooperation, under which Mahindra is responsible for commercial production and market supply of the equipment. The two parties have conducted field trials in Punjab and Haryana to test the equipment's no-till seeding capability under conditions of heavy rice straw cover. This commercial production is being carried out at Mahindra's existing Pithampur agricultural machinery plant.
