en.Wedoany.com Reported - On November 4, Qatar Airways officially launched a triangular route connecting Doha, Qatar; Bogotá, Colombia; and Caracas, Venezuela. The route is operated with Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, with two weekly flights scheduled on Wednesdays and Sundays. The route was initially planned to launch on July 22, 2026, but the start date was adjusted multiple times before the inaugural flight was ultimately operated on November 4.

On the day of the inaugural flight, the flight actually operated in the sequence Doha–Caracas–Bogotá, returning to Doha via Caracas. Subsequent regular flights operate in the sequence Doha–Bogotá–Caracas–Doha. Bogotá El Dorado International Airport and Caracas Simón Bolívar International Airport are thereby incorporated into Qatar Airways' scheduled route network.

With the addition of the two South American destinations, Bogotá and Caracas become the 15th and 16th destinations in Qatar Airways' Americas route network, respectively. Among them, Caracas is the company's first destination in Venezuela, making Qatar Airways the first Gulf carrier to operate routes to Venezuela.

Through Hamad International Airport in Doha, passengers can connect to Qatar Airways flights serving markets including China, Japan, Australia, South Korea, Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates. The launch of this route extends Qatar Airways' Middle East hub network to northern South America, adding new sector service between Colombia and Venezuela.
