China's Linyang Energy and South Korea's LG Energy Solution Sign Energy Storage Project Cooperation Agreement

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On November 5, China's Linyang Energy and LG Energy Solution (China) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of South Korea's LG Energy Solution, signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the 9th China International Import Expo in Shanghai. The two parties will cooperate on energy storage station development, energy storage system integration, and smart operation and maintenance services, prioritizing the implementation of the grid-side independent energy storage project in Nantong, Jiangsu, while simultaneously advancing cooperation on an independent energy storage project in Nanjing.

Zhang Tong, Mayor of Nantong, and Li Ling, Vice Mayor of Nantong, Kim Jae-kwon, Global Chief Strategy Officer of LG Energy Solution, Kim Woo-suk, Global Senior Vice President, Choi Ji-woong, President of LG Energy Solution China, and Jeong Yeon-du, Vice President of LG Energy Solution China, as well as Lu Yonghua, Founder and President of Linyang Group, and Cui Dongxu, Vice President of Linyang Energy, attended the signing ceremony and jointly witnessed the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement.

Under the agreement, the two parties will focus on advancing the development of the grid-side independent energy storage project in Nantong and simultaneously carry out cooperation on an independent energy storage project in Nanjing. The Nanjing project cooperation covers energy storage station development and construction, smart operation and maintenance, and supporting energy services, involving both station construction and subsequent operation phases.

The two parties plan to establish a dedicated task force and set up a regular high-level communication mechanism to coordinate energy storage project development and cooperative implementation. The scope of subsequent cooperation is planned to gradually expand from Nantong and Nanjing to other areas within Jiangsu Province and overseas energy storage markets.
