Telkomsel’s Hyper 5G Network Heads to Indonesia’s Greater Bandung

The company has deployed 172 active 5G base transceiver stations (BTS) covering Bandung City, Bandung Regency, Cimahi, and Kertajati International Airport. This expansion follows Telkomsel’s phased 5G rollout in 2025 across major cities like Greater Jakarta, Surabaya, Makassar, and Batam.

The Hyper 5G network ensures seamless connectivity throughout Bandung City, spanning from the Pasteur Toll Gate in the west, along key roads such as Jl. Pajajaran, Jl. Merdeka, and Jl. Riau in the city center, to eastern areas including Jl. A. Yani and Jl. Supratman. This extensive coverage supports consistent 5G access in major community hubs, enhancing the digital experience for residents and visitors.

Strategic locations in Greater Bandung, such as Trans Studio Mall, Paris Van Java, 23 Paskal Mall, and Summarecon Mall Bandung, now benefit from the network. Public spaces like Gedung Sate, Alun-alun Bandung, and Al-Jabbar Mosque, as well as educational institutions including Bandung Institute of Technology, Padjadjaran University, and Telkom University, are also covered, facilitating connectivity for diverse activities.
