Wedoany.com Report-Aug. 19, Brazil’s soybean exports reached 12.3 million tons in July 2025, a 9% increase compared to the previous year, according to the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX). The data highlights that 78% of these shipments were destined for China, reflecting strong demand from the Asian market.

In August 2025, the average daily export volume rose to 462,409 tons, marking a significant 26.5% increase year-on-year. This robust performance contributed to soybean export revenue of $350 million for the month. From January to July 2025, Brazil exported a total of 77.2 million tons of soybeans, up 2.4% from the same period in 2024. Notably, 75% of these exports went to China, the highest share since 2018, underscoring the country’s role as a key supplier.

The sustained growth in Brazil’s soybean exports supports the agricultural sector and strengthens economic ties with major markets. The increase in shipments has bolstered Brazil’s position as a leading global soybean exporter, driven by efficient production and logistics systems.

A report from the US Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Service projects a gradual decline in China’s soybean imports, with total grain imports expected to fall to 113 million tons by 2034, reflecting an average annual decrease of 3.1%. Despite this forecast, Brazil’s current export volumes demonstrate its ability to meet existing demand while maintaining a competitive edge in the global market.

These developments highlight Brazil’s critical role in global agriculture, supporting economic growth and reinforcing its capacity to supply high-quality soybeans to international markets, particularly in Asia.
