Wedoany.com Report-Oct 10,Japan should continue its subsidy programmes for utility and fuel expenses for a while, Keiichi Ishii, the leader of the junior ruling bloc partner Komeito party, said on Thursday.

The government is set to discontinue its subsidies for electricity and gas utilities by the end of October and another subsidy for gasoline fuels by the end of December.

Komeito forms the ruling coalition in Japan's parliament with its senior partner, the Liberal Democratic Party.
