Wedoany.com Report-Nov. 22, Morocco’s cement deliveries rose 16.4 per cent year-on-year in October 2025 to 1,516,473 tonnes from 1,302,665 tonnes in October 2024, according to data from the Ministry of National Planning, Urban Development, Housing and Urban Policy.
Most market segments recorded strong growth. The ready-mix concrete sector led with a 36.4 per cent increase to 403,254 tonnes, followed by infrastructure deliveries up 28.6 per cent to 107,638 tonnes. Prefabricated products rose 17.4 per cent to 150,042 tonnes, building materials advanced 13 per cent to 45,401 tonnes, and wholesale distribution grew 7.4 per cent to 803,849 tonnes. The only segment to decline was mortars, down 10.5 per cent to 6,290 tonnes.
For the January–October 2025 period, total cement deliveries reached 12.377 million tonnes, an 11.3 per cent increase from 11.121 million tonnes in the same period of 2024.
All major segments showed positive development over the ten-month period. Ready-mix concrete expanded 27.2 per cent to 3.119 million tonnes, prefabricated products grew 18 per cent to 1.269 million tonnes, and infrastructure supplies rose 11.4 per cent to 0.812 million tonnes. Wholesale deliveries increased 4.7 per cent to 6.765 million tonnes, while building materials and mortars recorded modest gains of 1.8 per cent and 1.5 per cent respectively.
The sustained double-digit growth reflects continued recovery and expansion in Morocco’s construction and infrastructure sectors throughout 2025.
