Recently, Thailand's national energy enterprise, PTT, announced the successful receipt of the first shipment of US liquefied natural gas (LNG) delivered under a long-term sale and purchase agreement. This delivery marks the official commencement of the substantive phase of the 15-year LNG supply cooperation between the company and its US supplier.

This long-term LNG sale and purchase agreement was signed in accordance with the resolution passed by Thailand's National Energy Policy Council on July 12, 2022. The contract has a term of 15 years, with an agreed annual supply volume of 1 million tons.
This LNG shipment represents a significant milestone in PTT's collaboration with the US supplier. The signing of the agreement is based on the National Energy Policy Council's resolution, aiming to secure long-term and stable energy supply. Through this 15-year contract, PTT will receive 1 million tons of LNG annually to meet domestic market demand.
The implementation of the long-term LNG sale and purchase agreement will help PTT optimize its energy procurement structure and enhance supply stability. The delivery of this shipment from the US lays a solid foundation for subsequent cooperation. Over the next 15 years, PTT will continue to receive US LNG, supporting its energy security strategy.
