Wedoany.com Report on Feb 12th, The Government of New Brunswick announced on February 9 that it will allocate funds to upgrade the water system in Memramcook and construct a recreation centre. This investment aims to enhance local infrastructure and community facilities.

According to an official statement, the province, through the Regional Development Corporation, is investing $2.7 million for water infrastructure improvements and allocating $4.1 million for the new recreation centre. The federal government had previously provided over $10.1 million in funding for these two projects.
Mayor of Memramcook, Maxime O. Bourgeois, stated, "This funding represents a decisive step forward for our community. Thanks to the provincial government's support, we can advance our vision to provide Memramcook residents with a modern, accessible gathering place that meets their needs." She added, "The expansion of the drinking water system is also a crucial investment to ensure sustainable infrastructure and a reliable water supply, especially considering recent drought periods."
Federal Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, Infrastructure and Communities, Dominic LeBlanc, said, "As my father's birthplace, Memramcook has always held a special place for me. I am immensely proud to work alongside our provincial and municipal partners to bring to life this project that is much more than just a community centre; it will symbolize the exceptional quality of life that Memramcook offers." This funding will support the Memramcook water system and recreation centre project, promoting local development and resident well-being.
