Organizational Structure

China Datang Corporation Ltd. was established on December 29, 2002. It is a centrally administered state-owned mega energy enterprise with a registered capital of RMB 37 billion, undertaking the important mission of ensuring national energy security, serving economic and social development, and supporting the building of a Beautiful China.

China Datang's main businesses cover power, coal and coal chemical industry, finance, environmental protection, trade and logistics, and emerging industries. Its operating and under-construction assets are distributed across 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, as well as in multiple countries and regions including Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, and Indonesia. It has 45 secondary subsidiaries (including 5 listed companies) and 3 directly affiliated institutions. The total installed capacity exceeds 200 million kW, with clean energy accounting for nearly 50%, and it has been listed among the Fortune Global 500 for 15 consecutive years.

China Datang is a "pioneer" in ensuring the energy and power security of the capital, undertaking more than half of the capital's electricity supply; a "main force" in providing heating for people's livelihood in the "Three-North" regions, responsible for residential heating covering more than 930 million square meters across 10 northern provinces; a "bearer" of the red gene of China's power industry development, owning a number of backbone power generation enterprises commissioned during the revolutionary war period, the founding of New China, and the reform and opening-up period; and a "practitioner" of technological progress and reform and innovation in China's power industry, with a number of world-class landmark, demonstration, and milestone projects.

Looking ahead, China Datang will base itself on the new development stage, implement the new development philosophy, integrate into the new development paradigm, and serve the goals of "carbon peaking" and "carbon neutrality." By building a new energy system and a new power system with new achievements and responsibilities, it will contribute Datang's strength to comprehensively advancing the great cause of building a strong country and realizing national rejuvenation along the Chinese path to modernization.
