The Locomotive Fire Safety Monitoring and Automatic Fire Extinguishing System (YFES-1) is a fire safety device specially developed for railway locomotives. It is capable of automatically or manually triggering fire extinguishing actions based on the collection of signals such as smoke, temperature, and thermal imaging, thus improving the fire prevention function of the locomotive on-board safety protection system (6A system) against fires in locomotives and motorized train sets. The system is installed in locations prone to fires, such as the traction converter cabinet, battery, electrical cabinet, and machinery room. It realizes online fire monitoring through smoke-temperature composite detectors, temperature-sensing cables, and infrared thermal imaging network cameras. When a fire occurs, it can give an alarm reminder on the 6A display screen and automatically carry out fire-extinguishing actions, minimizing the hazards of fires in locomotives and motorized train sets.
