The Diversified Actuation System (NuBAC) serves as a diversified backup system for nuclear power plant protection systems. It employs diversified equipment and design principles. In the event of a common-mode failure of the primary protection system, NuBAC can provide reactor shutdown and actuate relevant safety facilities, thereby ensuring the safety of the nuclear power plant.

The system achieves diversified automatic actuation, manual actuation, and independent display functions. It adopts a 2-out-of-2 design logic and remains capable of normal operation for more than 4 hours even when station power is lost.
