The SUW-3D is a three-axis ultrasonic anemometer with no moving parts, featuring a high-quality metal housing and corrosion-resistant construction, suitable for all-weather and all-terrain use. To ensure data accuracy in extreme environments, the instrument can be optionally equipped with a heating unit module to effectively mitigate the effects of rain, snow, and ice.
The SUW-3D incorporates three pairs of embedded ultrasonic transducers, utilizing the ultrasonic time-difference method principle to simultaneously output resultant wind speed, horizontal wind direction, vertical wind direction, X-axis wind speed, Y-axis wind speed, and Z-axis wind speed. Each sensor undergoes professional wind tunnel testing and calibration before leaving the factory, ensuring accurate wind data.
It is primarily used for studying eddy flux, local air convection conditions, and precise turbulence measurement. It is widely applied in fields such as hydrology and water conservancy, smart grids, meteorological warning, bridges and tunnels, ocean navigation, aviation and airports, and environmental monitoring.
