The SOB23BS wave buoy is a small marine data buoy that has been gradually developed to meet the needs of ocean surveys, environmental monitoring, meteorological forecasting, and scientific experiments. It can automatically and continuously collect ocean wave data, with positioning and data transmission functions. It relies on a fixed satellite communication network for positioning and transmits various observed parameter data to ground receiving stations, where the data is processed by computers and provided to users. It can accurately obtain parameters such as the buoy's latitude and longitude information, time, waves, buoy attitude information, and buoy operating status, which includes main power supply voltage, main board temperature, and buoy flooding status.
Therefore, this buoy can continuously observe wave height, wave direction, and wave period in various ocean surveys. It features small size, light weight, easy deployment, resistance to damage, and freedom from human limitations, and can operate continuously in the ocean for several months to two years, making it suitable for surveys of large sea areas.
