Initially, it produced seamless steel pipes using medium-frequency thermal expansion and internal boring with external turning methods. From 2017 to the present, while procuring hot-rolled steel pipes, it has leveraged the production capacities of the Tianhuai Steel Pipe 508 continuous rolling mill and the Wuhan Heavy Industry 864 rolling mill to process steel billets on a commissioned basis, with an annual processing volume currently reaching 150,000 tons. For products that cannot be rolled, or are uneconomical or inconvenient to produce by rolling—particularly large-diameter thin-walled and ultra-thin-walled seamless steel pipes with a diameter greater than 508 mm and a diameter-to-wall thickness ratio exceeding 25—the medium-frequency thermal expansion process is adopted. Dexin currently operates nine medium-frequency thermal expansion production lines, capable of producing seamless steel pipes with diameters up to 1250 mm, diameter-to-wall thickness ratios up to 100, and lengths exceeding 12 meters, in various standards, materials, and specifications, with an annual production capacity of up to 100,000 tons of thermally expanded steel pipes. Dexin also operates seven cold-drawing production lines, capable of producing 60,000 tons of precision seamless steel pipes ranging from Φ16.7 to 914 mm in diameter. Additionally, it has five large lathes and deep-hole boring machines for cold processing of various high-precision large-diameter thick-walled seamless steel pipes. The high-quality steel billets of carbon steel, carbon-manganese steel, and chromium-molybdenum steel produced by the LD+LF+RH/VD+CCM process, ordered by Dexin Steel Pipe, effectively control the content of C, P, S, as well as the gas content of N, H, O, and the five major harmful elements, ensuring the quality of steel pipes from the source, while also guaranteeing the length and delivery schedule of finished steel pipes. It maintains year-round inventories of pipe billets in various materials with diameters of Φ380, Φ450, Φ500, and Φ600, and produces hot-rolled steel pipes with diameters from Φ273 to Φ508 or larger upon receipt of orders. Leveraging Dexin's comprehensive capabilities in thermal expansion, cold drawing, heat treatment, and finishing, it can flexibly and efficiently organize production to meet user requirements for various specifications, quantities, and demands for high-pressure pipes, SSC-resistant pipes, HIC-resistant pipes, low-temperature pipes, line pipes, gas cylinder pipes, ASTM-standard pipes, and medium- and low-pressure piping materials, achieving the goal of "rapid delivery of emergency materials within 30 days."
Dexin Steel Pipe has successively obtained the A1, A2 (1), (3), B (1), (3) special equipment manufacturing licenses (pressure piping component manufacturing licenses) issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China, as well as type test reports for various materials, standards, and specifications. Design institutes have also correspondingly lifted restrictions on the use of medium-frequency thermally expanded seamless steel pipes.
