This equipment is primarily used for broaching internal dovetail slots in the outer rings of stator vanes for aviation engines and gas turbines. It features a horizontal floor-mounted design with an operating height of 1060–1100 mm. During the broaching process, the workpiece remains fixed while the tool moves horizontally.
The machine tool is equipped with a Siemens CNC operating system. Through the human-machine interface, the broaching speed or return speed of the workpiece can be displayed, and the working status of each axis can be directly observed. The operating system reads the broaching pressure of the machine tool in real time via sensors. The pressure values read can be saved and compared by classification.
Based on the actual usage of the broach, the system makes judgments and displays the statuses of "Broach Normal," "Broach Needs Regrinding," and "Broach Abnormal." For various faults, it can automatically display the fault location and issue an alarm.
Both the broaching force and broaching speed are controlled by electro-hydraulic servo valves, which can be arbitrarily set via touch keys on the operation screen.
Within the range of rated pulling force and slide stroke, by replacing some fixtures and tools, internal slots of wheel discs with different sizes and slot profiles can be broached.
