To ensure that passengers can safely evacuate from tunnel sections under disaster conditions such as fires and train stoppage accidents, and taking into account the technical requirements of the evacuation platform including load-bearing capacity, flame retardancy, and corrosion resistance, we have developed evacuation platforms made of several materials: FRP composite material evacuation platforms, inorganic composite (cement-based) evacuation platforms, and reactive powder concrete (RPC) evacuation platforms.
The FRP composite material evacuation platform is a composite product manufactured from fiberglass and phenolic resin through the pultrusion process. As it is produced using mechanical equipment, the product exhibits stable performance and features light weight, excellent corrosion resistance, superior mechanical properties, high insulation strength, and good aging resistance. Moreover, the composite evacuation platform is easy to install, saving construction labor and machinery while accelerating project progress.
The evacuation platform products manufactured through this process and from this composite material offer the following advantages:
- Excellent mechanical properties, particularly outstanding longitudinal specific strength and specific stiffness;
- The process is easily automated and controlled, ensuring stable product quality;
- Superior fire performance, with the product achieving a combustion performance rating of Class A2;
- The process generates virtually no offcuts, resulting in high raw material utilization efficiency;
- Product length is limited only by production space, and is independent of equipment capacity and process factors;
- The product is lightweight, minimizing impact on tunnel structures while greatly reducing installation effort and difficulty, saving construction labor and machinery while accelerating project progress (a single installation can reach 6 meters).
