Medium-voltage switchgear is one of the most critical components in power distribution networks, and the UniGear ZS1 switchgear developed by ABB is purpose-built for this role. The UniGear ZS1 air-insulated switchgear is used for primary distribution, with a rated voltage of up to 24 kV, a rated current of up to 5000 A, and internal arc withstand of 50 kA / 1 s.
In addition, the UniGear ZS1 air-insulated switchgear can be equipped with motor-operated circuit breaker trucks and earthing switches to enable intelligent substation operation. When paired with intelligent solutions, it monitors switchgear temperature rise and mechanical characteristics, predicts equipment health status, and prevents failures before they occur.
It can be configured with digital medium-voltage switchgear solutions, employing electronic instrument transformers and IEC 61850 digital communication technology to enable sharing of sampling signals and standardization of switchgear, leading the development direction and trends of medium-voltage switchgear.
