Medium-voltage spring-operated circuit breaker for distribution systems up to 40.5 kV, 2500 A, 31.5 kA
The OVB-VBF outdoor vacuum circuit breaker features a three-phase post-type design. The vacuum interrupter is housed in a hollow porcelain post insulator, which is filled with sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) or nitrogen at a pressure of 0.5 MBar above atmospheric pressure to prevent the effects of condensation. The spring operating mechanism is located in a compartment that is protected from external environmental influences. The circuit breaker is mounted on a frame fabricated from welded angle steel. The simple and reliable spring operating mechanism requires low operating force and ensures an extended service life.
