Due to the massive volume of overburden stripping and mineral transport in large open-pit mines, high-tonnage mining dump trucks are required for haulage to improve production efficiency and reduce transportation costs. In response to such transport demands, CRRC Datong Corporation has introduced the CR240E mining dump truck, which features the following technical characteristics:
Powerful Powertrain
Equipped with an electronically controlled high-pressure common rail fuel injection system and an intake chamber direct injection engine, it enables precise fuel injection, improves combustion efficiency, and delivers greater power and torque. The engine output reaches 2,500 horsepower and can operate stably even in plateau environments.
Superior Hauling Performance
The hydraulic system adopts fully hydraulic constant-pressure variable pump energy supply brake control technology and a dual gear pump parallel energy supply electronically controlled lifting technology. Equipped with hydraulic temperature control valves, it can effectively cope with temperature and pressure variations at high altitudes and maintain optimal hauling performance even in extreme environments above 5,400 meters above sea level.
Rational Structural Design
High-strength alloy steel plates are used as the frame manufacturing material, drawing on the strengthening solutions of heavy-haul railway freight locomotives, ensuring stability and reliability under long-term bumpy conditions. The cargo body (highlighting lightweight design) adopts an "I"-shaped skeleton and differentiated wear-resistant plate arrangement. The bottom of the cargo box features an inverted "V"-shaped protrusion, which improves the stress distribution of the cargo body, enhances its rigidity, and extends its service life.
Mature Drive System
The electric wheel adopts CRRC's advanced and mature component systems. The overall structure is adapted to sandy and dusty environments, reducing dust intrusion into bearings, enhancing reliability, and ensuring stable operation in sandy and dusty conditions. Meanwhile, the wheel-side reducer adopts an NGW two-stage compound planetary gear train, equipped with vibration and temperature online monitoring systems to ensure reliable operation.
