Industrial DC power is mainly obtained by converting AC power through rectifier equipment composed of a rectifier transformer and a rectifier.
The rectifier transformer converts the high voltage on the grid side to a value equivalent to the DC current.
It converts the number of phases of the power supply to the number of phases required for rectification (3-phase, 6-phase, 12-phase, 24-phase, or more). To improve efficiency and reduce harmonics, the number of phases on the secondary side is generally no less than 3.
Rectifier transformers are widely used in general industrial rectifier power supplies such as electrochemical electrolysis, traction, drive, DC transmission, variable frequency, electroplating, excitation, charging, cascade adjustment, and electrostatic precipitation.
