They are known by their high structural rigidity and high positioning accuracy to achieve the best solution of universal grinding. The machines have been designed to produce optimal grinding solutions on motor or transmission components in the aerospace, power generation, and maritime sectors. The machine presents two grinding heads: Universal (ID & OD) and tangential, with an arm for turning operation assembled on the B axis of the machine. The B axis can rotate to any angular position allowing stock removal at any required angle. The machine includes a C Axis on the table with angular position control of the part for non cylindrical shapes grinding. All these features make the DAN-VTG machine fully universal allowing cylindrical, taper, internal, external, faces and eccentric forms grinding operations apart from hard turning operations in the same clamping. The options include different type of measuring probes to guarantee that the part fulfils all geometric and size requirements without the use of a CMM. A four position tool magazine (with possibility for twelve) is integrated to the machine with automatic tool change by HSK-63 system. This machine is outstanding because of the advantages of :- reducing the of number set-ups, the use of different machining technologies, the simplification of the clamping systems by vertical positioning of the part, ease of use of the machine, idle time reduction, easy integration of different measuring elements, geometric improvement of floor space occupation, etc.
