A new grinding process has allowed a reduction in the size of the machine, on which both main and pin bearings are centrically clamped and ground under continuous path control (pin chasing) – a process developed by NAXOS-UNION, and one in which the company is a worldwide leader. The machine is operated with the kind of comfort hitherto unknown, whereby automated processes can, if necessary, be mixed with manual interventions, to suit the individual pre-machining conditions of the workpiece..
