Pre-assembly modules are e.g.: The module frame made of sheet steel with kinematics installed for the sliding roof and the drive motors The ready-to-install rear hatch, where the rear window is bonded to an aluminum frame The supporting frame for the sunroof with electric sunshadeFinal assembly consists of several stationary assembly devices. Here each roof module is completely assembled by one employee. The final EOL check includes a dimensional and visual final inspection and an automatic function test. It involves measuring and recording all the opening and closing times and the power consumption for all the electrical systems. Controlled by the customer production number, the Targa sunroof modules are delivered just-in-sequence to Porsche.
