The isolation sleeve is a wire retrievable tool used to isolate the hydraulic chamber of a tubing retrievable downhole safety valve that is locked in the open state to prevent the control medium from being contaminated by the well fluid. The isolation sleeve is recommended for situations where the tubing retrievable safety valve is permanently locked in the open state and continuous production is planned without operating the safety valve. The isolation sleeve is also recommended for pulling out the string with a safety valve locked in the open state.

The isolation sleeve can be lowered and retrieved in one trip, and is recommended for pulling out the string with a safety valve locked in the open state.
