The sealing element of the flow control tool has an interference fit with the sealing surface of the landing nipple. Before the flow control tool reaches the predetermined depth, the lock core is allowed to pass through any number of landing joints.

The flow control tool and the matching lock core are lowered into the well together with the running tool carried by the steel wire. The wire operator selects the corresponding running tool, and the running process does not require well pressure.
