On March 2nd, another construction milestone was achieved in Section 3 of the Hubei segment of the Yichang-Changde Railway, undertaken by China Railway Shanghai Engineering Bureau Group. The trial piling for the subgrade's CFG piles was successfully completed, with all testing indicators meeting the design specifications. This provides crucial technical parameters and solid process support for the subsequent large-scale and standardized construction of the subgrade.

As one of the core techniques for high-speed railway subgrade reinforcement, the construction quality of CFG piles is directly related to the stability and safety of the railway line during later operation, making it a top priority in subgrade engineering. To ensure the trial piling achieved excellence on the first attempt, the project department attached great importance and made meticulous arrangements. Prior to construction, multiple specialized plan discussions and technical briefings were organized for technical, safety/environmental, and construction teams. Construction parameters were precisely optimized based on the site's geological conditions, and various preparatory tasks such as survey verification, equipment calibration, and raw material testing were strictly implemented to build a solid foundation for construction safety and quality from the outset. During the construction process, the project team strictly adhered to the standardized requirements for railway engineering construction. Professional technical personnel were assigned to conduct full-time on-site monitoring of key processes including pile location layout, drilling machine alignment, drilling speed, pipe withdrawal speed, and construction current values, precisely controlling the core parameters of each construction phase to achieve traceability and controllability throughout the entire construction process.

It is reported that the Yichang-Changde Railway is a key component of the Hohhot-Nanning Corridor within China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network. It also serves as a vital transportation artery connecting and fostering joint development between Hubei and Hunan provinces, with a designed speed of 350 km/h. Upon completion, the project will end the history of Songzi not having high-speed rail access, significantly reducing the travel time between Yichang and Changde, and deeply integrating Songzi into China's high-speed rail network. Simultaneously, it will further improve the layout of the high-speed railway network in southwestern Hubei, strengthen transportation links between the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the central region, inject transportation momentum into rural revitalization and industrial upgrading in the Wuling Mountain area, and promote deeper cooperation between Hubei and Hunan provinces in areas such as cultural tourism integration, industrial coordination, and regional economic and trade. This holds significant practical meaning and strategic value for enhancing the overall development capacity of the region and supporting the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
