The naming ceremony was attended by leaders from the shipowner, the owner's site supervision team, the classification society, and COSCO Shipping Kawasaki (Dalian), who gathered to witness the vessel's naming and rope-cutting ceremony.
This vessel is the first ship built by the company in collaboration with Angelakos Hellas, a Greek company with decades of industry experience. Previously, the shipowner had established a good cooperative relationship with COSCO Shipping Kawasaki (Nantong) and officially partnered with COSCO Shipping Kawasaki (Dalian) in December 2023. The successful delivery of Hull DE166 represents a significant initial achievement of mutual trust and win-win cooperation between the two parties, laying a solid foundation for the construction and delivery of the subsequent two vessels in the same series.
