Wedoany.com Report, On March 16, 2026, in Geneva, Switzerland, STMicroelectronics (ST) and Leopard Imaging jointly unveiled a multimodal integrated vision module designed for advanced robotic systems such as humanoid robots. This multi-sensor vision module combines ST's imaging, 3D scene mapping, and motion sensing technologies with the NVIDIA Holoscan Sensor Bridge. It natively integrates with NVIDIA Jetson and the NVIDIA Isaac open robotics development platform, simplifying and accelerating vision system design within size, weight, and power constraints.

Marco Angelici, Vice President of Marketing and Applications for Analog Power MEMS and Sensors at STMicroelectronics, stated: "Humanoid robots are moving from research projects and demonstrations into practical applications, providing new types of machines for manufacturing and automotive plants, logistics and warehousing, as well as retail and customer service. Our collaboration with Leopard Imaging integrates ST sensors and actuators into the NVIDIA robotics ecosystem, accelerating the deployment of physical AI applications with human-like perception capabilities."

Bill Pu, CEO of Leopard Imaging, said: "Having direct access to ST's sensors and actuators within the ecosystem enables us to standardize and simplify data acquisition and recording for humanoid robot vision through the HSB interface. Robot manufacturers can use our multi-sensing vision module alongside Isaac tools to accelerate learning and quickly bridge the 'simulation-to-reality' gap."

Leveraging the NVIDIA Holoscan Sensor Bridge, the new module integrates seamlessly with NVIDIA Jetson via Ethernet, enabling real-time sensor data ingestion and compatibility with the NVIDIA Isaac open robotics development platform. This platform provides developers with open AI models, simulation frameworks, and libraries. The new module also includes build systems, APIs, AI algorithms optimized for mobile robots, sample applications, domain randomization, and a simulation environment containing sensor models.

As a key partner for NVIDIA robotics and edge AI, STMicroelectronics continues to integrate its sensors, drivers, actuators, controllers, and development tools into the NVIDIA robotics ecosystem, including high-fidelity models and proof-of-concept modules. This multi-sensor vision module integrates the ST VB1940 automotive-grade RGB-IR 5.1-megapixel image sensor, the LSM6DSV16X 6-axis inertial measurement unit, and the VL53L9CX dToF integrated LiDAR module, supporting diverse applications for robotic vision.
