Wedoany.com Report on Mar 17th, Pivot Bio recently launched RETAIN Dry, a new microbial nitrogen product designed for sorghum crops. This product features a dry formulation, allowing growers to apply nitrogen-fixing microbial technology directly onto seeds at planting. The introduction of RETAIN Dry expands the application methods for the RETAIN product line to three, including liquid in-furrow, over-seed application, and dry application, providing farmers with greater flexibility when integrating biological nitrogen solutions into their crop nutrition programs.

This microbial nitrogen product is designed to fit into existing planting practices and contains micronutrients such as zinc, iron, manganese, boron, copper, and molybdenum, which help support the microbial nitrogen fixation process and plant nitrogen uptake. According to the company, RETAIN Dry also improves seed flowability and promotes early plant growth, such as enhancing root development and accelerating canopy formation.

RETAIN Dry can be applied using various on-farm methods, such as calibrated dry additive feeders on seed treaters, layering during seed loading, or using dual-transfer seed box applications. Each bag of the product can cover up to 500 acres of sorghum and is currently available in several states across the Midwest and South of the USA, including Kansas, Nebraska, Texas, and Arkansas. This launch is part of Pivot Bio's effort to expand its microbial nitrogen product portfolio, following previous launches of PROVEN G3 for corn and CERT-N Dry for cotton.
