Wedoany.com Report on Mar 18th, Godrej & Boyce recently reported that its energy solutions business has a project pipeline of Rs 260 billion (approximately $3.1 billion) by the end of FY26, covering areas such as transmission infrastructure, railway electrification, and renewable energy. As India increases its investments in power infrastructure and clean energy, this business is expected to achieve around 15% growth by FY27.

Godrej & Boyce believes that significant development opportunities exist in India's power infrastructure sector over the next three to five years. This is primarily driven by the need to evacuate renewable energy power, expand the electrified railway network, and upgrade existing grids to ensure round-the-clock power supply. Concurrently, India's emergence as a data center hub is generating additional demand for power infrastructure.

"India is becoming a data center hub, with large corporations building gigawatt-scale facilities. These facilities have high power demands and are increasingly seeking to procure renewable energy to meet sustainability goals, indirectly driving investments in power infrastructure," said Raghavendra Mirji, Head of Energy Solutions Business at Godrej & Boyce.

"India's focus on strengthening power infrastructure and accelerating the transition to cleaner energy is creating significant opportunities across the entire energy ecosystem," Mirji added. "Our strong order book reflects the growing demand for reliable transmission infrastructure, railway electrification, and renewable energy solutions."

The company is actively expanding its presence in key markets, with a focus on states like Gujarat and Rajasthan where renewable energy capacity is growing rapidly, as well as Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu, where industrial and urban demands are driving investments in transmission infrastructure and grid modernization.

Over the past year, Godrej & Boyce has completed several significant project executions in India. These include commissioning 25 units of 765 kV AIS and GIS bays in Gujarat, 54 units of 400 kV and below AIS/GIS bays across various regions, and a 220/132 kV AIS substation in Sikkim. In the railway sector, the company also delivered three railway traction substations to support the electrification of the rail network.

Furthermore, the company has expanded its renewable energy portfolio through projects like the 6.5 MW peak rooftop solar installation in Jaipur, strengthening its market position in the clean energy sector.
