Wedoany.com Report, On March 17, Xiao Yafei, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Isotope & Radiation Corporation (CIRC), along with Fan Guomin, Deputy General Manager, and Liu Yuntao, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer, visited the China Institute of Atomic Energy (hereinafter referred to as CIAE). They held a discussion with Zhao Hao, Party Secretary of CIAE, and Chen Zan, Chief Accountant, focusing on deepening cooperation in the field of nuclear technology application.
Zhao Hao welcomed Xiao Yafei and his delegation, reviewed the cooperative achievements since 2025, and affirmed the progress made. He stated that CIAE, as the birthplace of China's nuclear science and technology and a comprehensive base for fundamental, forward-looking, pioneering, and engineering nuclear research, is fully committed to building a world-class nuclear research institute. He expressed willingness to deepen cooperation with CIRC in areas such as scientific and technological R&D, achievement transformation, talent cultivation, and project collaboration, striving to establish new benchmarks and models for institute-enterprise cooperation, and to contribute to promoting the high-quality development of the CNNC's nuclear technology application industry.
Xiao Yafei expressed gratitude for CIAE's long-term care and support for the development of CIRC's industry. He pointed out that following the 2025 meeting between the two sides, cooperation has been comprehensively deepened, achieving breakthrough progress in multiple fields, marking the elevation of strategic cooperation for intra-group institute-enterprise collaboration to a new height. As the strategic implementation entity for the CNNC's nuclear technology application industry, CIRC will fully implement subsequent cooperative projects, accelerate the effective implementation of key projects, strengthen strategic synergy, innovation synergy, talent synergy, and industrial synergy, and jointly contribute to the development of the CNNC's nuclear technology application industry.
The two sides also conducted in-depth exchanges on specific cooperative projects and clarified the cooperation timeline. Relevant personnel from CIAE's Department of Science and Technology Management, Department of Industrial Development, Institute of Nuclear Technology, Yuanfeng Company, and China Nuclear Original Technology, as well as from CIRC's Investment Management Department, Science, Technology and Digitalization Department, and Market Development Department participated in the exchange.
