Wedoany.com Report on Mar 19th, Recently, the Ecology and Environment Bureau of Huizhou City, Guangdong, China, has accepted and made public the Environmental Impact Report for the Integrated Polystyrene New Materials Project submitted by Huizhou Renxin Technology Development Co., Ltd. Located in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, China, this project marks a significant investment progress for the company in the field of polymer materials.
The project plans to construct three main production units, including a 128,000-ton/year low-cis polybutadiene new material and solution-polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber combined unit, a 550,000-ton/year high-impact polystyrene production unit, and a 100,000-ton/year optical-grade PMMA resin new material unit. The commissioning of these units will significantly enhance the company's production capacity and competitiveness in the polystyrene new materials market.
Specifically, the low-cis polybutadiene new material unit is expected to produce 61,000 tons of low-cis polybutadiene and 67,000 tons of solution-polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber annually. The high-impact polystyrene unit will achieve an annual output of 550,000 tons, with 480,000 tons being HIPS1 product and 70,000 tons being HIPS2 product. The optical-grade PMMA resin unit plans to produce 40,000 tons of methyl methacrylate-styrene copolymer new material, 24,000 tons of polymethyl methacrylate, 16,000 tons of PMMA modified material, and 20,000 tons of thermoplastic solid acrylic powder.
Overall, the total designed capacity of this integrated polystyrene new materials project is 778,000 tons per year. Among these, approximately 40,600 tons of low-cis polybutadiene new material will be used for internal polystyrene product production, while the remaining 737,400 tons of products will be sold externally. This layout helps optimize resource allocation and meet market demand for high-performance polystyrene new materials.
