Wedoany.com Report, On March 18, Dow Personal Care showcased its innovative series of personal care and beauty solutions at the 2026 Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients (PCHi) exhibition held in Shanghai, China. With the theme "Beauty in Motion," Dow presented a total of 17 innovative formulated products spanning skincare, sun care, color cosmetics, and hair care. The highlight was the launch of one globally premiered and three China-premiered high-performance personal care ingredients, aiming to help brands achieve a balance of long-lasting efficacy, comfort, and sustainability through materials science.
To meet consumer demands for long-lasting wear and comfortable skin feel, Dow introduced several innovative solutions based on its materials science expertise. The globally premiered DOWSIL™ 8190 Oil Phase Gellant is a 100% silicone polyamide copolymer that efficiently thickens silicone oils and organic oil phases to create diverse textures. It is suitable for color cosmetics like lip gloss, eyeliner, and foundation, as well as hair care products, enhancing functionality while avoiding a greasy feel.
The China-premiered DOWSIL™ FC-5012 ID Resin Gum is a film former specifically designed for color cosmetics and sun care, offering long-lasting wear and comfort. It features excellent water resistance, sebum resistance, and anti-transfer properties, making it suitable for various products such as foundation and lip gloss. It has also been nominated for the PCHi 2026 Fangdian Award. Another China-premiered product, ACUDYNE™ 2000 Polymer, provides a balance of hold, flexibility, and shine for hair styling, suitable for gels, mousses, and other products.
Furthermore, the China-premiered DOWSIL™ CB-2251 Silicone Fluid is a high-performance conditioning additive specifically designed for conditioners and hair serums. It imparts benefits such as smoothness, moisture, and softness to hair. Dow also presented other innovative formulated products, offering customers a diverse range of options.
