The special assessment for decommissioning and remediation achieved excellent results again, ranking first among assessed units for two consecutive years. The pace of decommissioning old nuclear facilities was accelerated, promoting the simultaneous development of eight decommissioning and remediation projects, setting a historical record for the number of nuclear facilities decommissioned. All radioactive waste treatment facilities completed their annual targets ahead of schedule, achieving a dynamic balance between the generation and treatment of decommissioning waste. A new model of cross-domain coordinated operations was established, achieving for the first time the multimodal transport of spent fuel from CNNC pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants, the loading of CNSC "Dragon Boat" containers, and multi-origin transportation. Adopting an integrated "door-to-door collection" service model, the annual radioactive material transport tasks were efficiently completed. The Longhe, Northwest, and Feifengshan disposal sites continued to operate safely and stably. Two CNNC-level safety and environmental protection risk points were successfully closed, achieving full coverage of standardized safety production construction. Throughout the year, safety and quality, security and confidentiality, and petition stability maintenance work remained stable and controlled.

It focuses on tackling key core technologies in nuclear environmental protection, striving to build itself into a "source of original technology" and a "chain leader" of the modern industrial chain, accelerating the achievement of high-level technological self-reliance and self-improvement, and supporting the safe and sustainable development of the nuclear industry.

For the first time, it self-funded the establishment of the "Environmental Innovation 2030" R&D plan to strengthen technological support for member units. The National Radiation Protection R&D Base was included in the nuclear industry's "15th Five-Year Plan" "Six Bases, One Platform" construction system. The National Nuclear Safety Administration's Radiation Safety Center completed its official designation. Two national-level platforms, the Defense Science and Industry Administration's Radiation Protection Discipline and Technology Center and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Key Laboratory for Radiation Protection, were approved for establishment. The AI large model smart water platform was completed and put into operation. Throughout the year, it won 3 international QC gold awards, 1 international standard, 1 patent, 3 national standards, and 9 provincial/ministerial-level or above awards. It adheres to safe development, green development, innovative development, and integrated development, focusing on its main responsibilities and core businesses, and uses the optimization of industrial layout as a lever to solidify the solid foundation for high-quality development.

It strengthened strategic guidance, high-quality formulation of the "15th Five-Year Plan," and further optimized the "1236" development goals and industrial development directions. Implementing the requirements of the CNNC Party Group, it fully promoted the construction of CNNC's professional decommissioning and remediation teams and the large-scale logistics system for the nuclear industry chain. It comprehensively halted diversified investments in non-core businesses, clarified the expansion direction for the nuclear technology environmental application industry, and steadfastly promoted the transformation of environmental water services towards "empowerment by nuclear, concentration on nuclear," opening up a "second curve" for industrial development. The first self-invested and constructed nuclear-related water project was successfully commissioned and put into operation. The first nuclear technology project for treating industrial wastewater was implemented. It successfully entered emerging markets such as Switzerland, Algeria, and Russia, further expanding its overseas market footprint.

Centering on the annual work theme of "Pursuing Excellence," China Nuclear Environmental Protection focused on breakthroughs in key areas of governance efficiency improvement, further breaking down management barriers and unleashing the vitality of factors, continuously injecting strong endogenous momentum into the development of the nuclear environmental protection industry.

It organized the entire system to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC and earnestly carried out education on deeply implementing the spirit of the Central Committee's Eight-Point Regulation. The signed article by the China Nuclear Environmental Protection Party Committee, "Promoting the Steady and Far-reaching Progress of Nuclear Environmental Protection," was published in *Study Times*. China Institute for Radiation Protection and China Nuclear Tongxin were successfully selected as National Civilized Units.
