en.Wedoany.com Report on Mar 21st, Australian mining technology company Machine Logic has recently launched the Asset Monitoring Tool (AMT), aiming to address technical challenges in mining operations. Co-founder Moz Murrihy, drawing on his over 20 years of mining experience, including his tenure as a mining systems technician, developed this rapidly deployable, user-friendly operational technology monitoring tool. Murrihy stated, "The problem is, you can't fix what you can't see; it's always a bit like chasing ghosts."
Designed with simplicity in mind, AMT provides an intuitive visual interface that allows users to quickly assess asset status. Murrihy explained, "We stick to the basics: green is good, orange is okay, red is bad. Trucks look like trucks, pumps look like pumps. A single glance tells you what's happening." Built on software and within Microsoft Azure, the tool offers real-time visibility into key operational technology assets, ingesting data from networked systems including autonomous machinery, fleet management systems, and more.
For security reasons, Machine Logic has chosen to deploy AMT on local servers rather than using cloud-based services. The software has already been rolled out to customers, and the company is in discussions with other potential clients. Murrihy noted, "Anyone who has had that pain point jumps on board immediately. Anyone who has worked in a control centre says, 'I wish we had this tool back then'." As mining operations grow in complexity, AMT helps reduce downtime and improve asset management efficiency by simplifying operational technology troubleshooting.
